This past July, I spent 2 weeks in Lima. It was such a good trip! I got to see my friends, spend time with the family... sometimes when you don't plan that much, you end having a very good time :)

Since I moved to DC, every time I go back home I see it with different eyes. In so many ways, the people, the places, the decor! Peru has done a fabulous job rescuing our heritage and making everyone fall in love with it. Starting with Peruvians. We have re-discovered our origins, our art, our food! And we are so proud of it. I'm so proud of it <3

The attention to detail in which we present a delicate dessert or the way in which colors are mixed in an andean textile. Everything seems to be different to me. More planned, more beautiful. Maybe because I live abroad now. Or maybe because the variety and the quality is actually amazing but I can tell you Peruvian art is getting better and better.

That's why I wanted to share these images with you. As a small sample of the beautiful pieces I found - that you might have seen already in my house if you follow me on Instagram ;) and the images that inspired me during this trip.

It's always good to be back #Peru
