CREATIVE COLLABORATION - CONTEMPORARY COWGIRL OFFICE

One of the best things about becoming an entrepreneur is the amount of talented and amazing women I've met during my journey. I'm extremely fortunate to be part of this movement, to share and learn from so many creative ladies. One of them is my friend Sadie, whom I met when Splendor Styling was just starting. We worked together on my marketing strategy and her input definitely helped enhancing my performance and business' outreach.

Women should help each other grow.

I can't stress that enough. We grow bigger and stronger if we do it together. Trust me. There is room for everyone at the party and we can all succeed. Sharing your knowledge and talents will get you further. And this is what Sadie and I did :)

A creative collaboration. I needed her marketing knowledge. She needed my design advice. It was perfect! I got to help her with the design of her first office as a home owner. As in many DC homes, the space needed to double as a guest room and as a home office. It needed to be inspiring for daily work; and comfortable enough to welcome friends and host business meetings. We already had some of the right key pieces: a small sofa bed, a glass desk and bookshelves; but we needed to rearrange furniture, get accent pieces to make the space ultra functional, and give it a fun creative character.

Take a look at the results!

CONTEMPORARY COWGIRL OFFICE by Splendor Styling

An old leather stool and a a side table frame the small sofa bed creating the sensation of a living room. Accent pillows and greenery give the space a homey feeling; and a comfy storage bench serves as a coffee table and hides bedding and pillows for when guests arrive ;)

An easy DIY mural was created with two colorful triangles matching the cow art on the opposite wall. Bringing colors from your pieces of art to the walls in the room makes the space look more cohesive and fun! The round mirror gives the wall a final touch reflecting light and colors all around.

This was a happy and fun project. Sadie and I were in touch all the time and constantly discussed ideas through email and text messages. E-decor is the perfect design alternative for busy people! My main advice for her was the one I always give to my clients:

If you fall in love with a piece, buy it! You will always find a way to use it in your decor.

This colorful and funky cow art was love at first sight, and because she loved it so much it ended being the main source of inspiration for the entire design.

I'm very happy about this collaboration and the results! And I'm happy to have this amazing female powerful energy around. My entrepreneur friends are a constant reminder that dreams come true; and that hard work pays off. Thanks for being part of this journey. xx.
